Standalone license
Yes, but you must deactivate it on the original machine before activating it on a new one.
Normally, internet access is needed for activation, deactivation and periodic renewal every 90 days.
If internet access is not available, you can perform manual activation and renewal through our license portal.
For fully air-gapped production systems, production licenses are available and do not require renewal once activated.
You may need to reactivate the license. Keep your product key and follow the reactivation process.
No. A standalone license is tied to a single computer at a time and intended for use by one user at a time.
Credential-based licensing (Early Access)
Admins can assign, revoke, and monitor licenses through the VC Accounts dashboard, making seat management simple and centralized.
If a user leaves the organization, the admin can revoke the license and reassign it to another user instantly without the need to track product keys.
Yes. Administrators can upload user lists for quick setup, ideal for academic institutions and large teams.
VC Accounts is available starting from Visual Components 5.0 as an Early Access licensing option.

Yes. It uses encrypted authentication and eliminates the risk of sharing or losing product keys.
VC Accounts is a web-based entitlement management platform hosted and maintained by Visual Components on our own infrastructure in Europe. The system integrates with our identity management and single sign-on (SSO) services.

Yes. If you have a time-limited standalone license, you can switch to VC Accounts.
