Technical Content Specialist

At Visual Components we are building 3D simulation tools to plan factories and optimize production lines. Essentially, it’s 3D games for industrial use. We believe that 3D simulation is the future of planning, and we want to make it easily accessible to all users and make sure everyone knows how to use our products.

To make this happen, we are looking for a Technical Content Specialist to be part of the Visual Components Simulation Experts team in Espoo, Finland.

In this role, you will help us to educate our customers and partners all around the world on how to use and take advantage Visual Components products. You will be our voice on the Visual Components YouTube channel and will create written and video tutorials, training material and product documentation together with a team of best simulation experts in the world.

The position is full-time and will begin as soon as we find the right candidate.

In this role, you will be:

  • Technical YouTuber of the Visual Components brand
  • Creating informative yet interesting video tutorials for VC users all around the world
  • Editing the videos, publish them on the Visual Components Academy website as well as on VC YouTube channel
  • Creating written tutorials with visuals in addition to video tutorials
  • Writing and maintaining our product documentation
  • Managing the translations of the documentation together with an external translation company
  • Working closely together with the team of Simulation Experts to plan and design the new content
We are looking for someone with:
  • Native or near native communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Experience in content creation
  • Some experience with video editing
  • Ability and motivation to learn to operate new software tools
  • Curious, active and self-driven attitude

  • Some understanding in programming / scripting / Python
  • Factory automation
  • Software documentation
  • Technical writing

Industrial Robot Simulation Developer

We believe that 3D simulation is the future of planning, and we want to make it easily accessible. In order to make this happen, we are looking for an Industrial Robot Simulation Developer.

As Industrial Robot Simulation Developer your responsibility is to maintain and develop different areas of the software, including C++ simulation engine and robotics features. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of the development fundamentals and is willing to learn more by working on different areas of the desktop software. Ideally, you are excited to learn a lot of domain knowledge in order to be proficient in different areas of our software products.

Our ideal candidate would have knowledge on:

  • C++
  • How industrial robots are programmed and used
  • Robotics math (3D math, kinematics, motion planning)
  • Communication interfaces to robots / simulators (RRS1/2, proprietary)
  • Knowledge of performance optimization is a plus
  • Knowledge from ROS (1 and 2) is a plus
  • Physics simulation experience is a plus
  • Practical robotics knowledge is a plus
As a Industrial Robot Simulation Developer in the Development team, you will also take part in planning, developing, bug-fixing, testing and documentation.

WPF Developer

We believe that 3D simulation is the future of planning, and we want to make it easily accessible. In order to make this happen, we are looking for a WPF Developer.

As WPF Developer, your responsibility is to maintain and develop user interface of a large Windows desktop application and implementing and maintaining custom WPF controls and their styling. We are looking for an experienced developer that specializes on desktop application UI using the Windows Presentation Framework (WPF) and C#.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • Very good knowledge of Windows Presentation Framework (WPF)
  • Very good knowledge of XAML for WPF
  • Good knowledge of modern C#
  • Good knowledge of .NET Framework 4.7
  • Good knowledge of applying MVVM architecture model
  • Knowledge of C++ is a plus
  • Knowledge of Infragistics WPF is a plus
  • Knowledge of best practices in UI code with MVVM pattern
As a WPF Developer in the Development team, you will also take part in planning, developing, bug-fixing, testing and documentation.
