Operating Systems
Visual Components products have been designed for the following Microsoft operating systems:
- Windows XP with SP 2 or higher
- Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit version
- Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit version
There is no separate installer available for 64-bit operating systems, since these are not natively supported. To use Visual Components products on 64-bit systems the compatibility mode is used for the Visual Components executable.
Hardware requirements
Memory
The minimum machine requirement is 1 GB. For the use of 3DAutomate/3DCreate for component altering and big layouts we recommend a minimum of 2 GB.
The best performance will be achieved with 4GB of memory.
Graphics
Graphics cards with hardware accelerated OpenGL including internal memory are recommended. The graphics driver should support OpenGL directly to avoid performance problems.
Resolution
A laptop with a minimum 1024 x 768 pixel resolution display.
Mouse
Two button mouse is required.
Internet connection
A network connection is required to activate and transfer the license and access the WebCat from within the software. Manual activation without direct internet is possible, but not recommended.
