Operating Systems
Visual Components products have been designed for the following Microsoft operating systems:
- Windows XP with SP 1 or higher
- Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit version
- Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit version
There is no separate installer available for 64-bit operating systems, since these are not natively supported. To use Visual Components products on 64-bit systems the compatibility mode is used for the Visual Components executable.
Hardware requirements
Memory
The minimum machine requirement is 1 GB. For the use of 3DCreate for component altering and big layouts we recommend a minimum of 2 GB.
Graphics
Graphics cards with hardware accelerated OpenGL including internal memory are recommended. The graphics driver should support OpenGL directly to avoid performance problems.
Processor
A minimum of 2 GHz (32-bit) processor power is recommended for power users.
Resolution
A laptop with a minimum 1024 x 768 pixel resolution display.
Mouse
Two button mouse is required. Space or 3D-mice are not supported.
Internet connection
A network connection is required to activate and transfer the license and access the WebCat from within the software. Manual activation without direct internet is possible, but not recommended.
