Add-Ons offer extra features for the Visual Components product family. With Add-Ons you can tailor your Visual Components 3D software to match your specific needs. Several Add-Ons are offered expanding the range of geomety import formats or enabling a connection to PLC controllers for PLC code validation.
Commercial Add-Ons
PLC Add-On
The PLC Add-On allows the connection to a programmable logic controller and other industrial devices by using a compliant OPC server/client connection. Furthermore a Beckhoff specific connection enables communication to Beckhoff's TwinCat system. More vendor specific connections can be configured using the standard plug-in architecture over the Visual Components API. Only available for 3DCreate and 3DSimulate.
