Licensing 2010
The Visual Components product suite is supporting floating licenses with the introduction of the new licensing system in version 2010. Floating licenses work excellent in multi-user environments. The floating license is not locked to a single computer but can be obtained on demand.
Server Setup
To setup the Visual Components floating license server download the setup file
>> Download License server version 1.1.4 (September 2011) from here.
Run the installation file on the server in your local network. During installation we recommend to accept all default settings.
Once the installation was successful, the floating license key has to be activated on the license server. Select 'Product keys' and then 'Enter product key...'
 | Activate the product key. After successful activation
the key is listed in the product key list.
NOTE: You can only activate dedicated floating licenses on the license server, no stand-alone licenses. If you are unsure about your license type contact your reseller or Visual Components support |
